“Training and Development” is one of the seven core elements of Regal’s Crown Service Model of Excellence.

REGAL SECURITY® TRAINING ACADEMY

Our security guards are provided with the training and ongoing support required to progress their careers in security. This consists of both mandatory, in-class and on-the-job training, coupled with progressively more detailed and specialized training to meet the various demands of all our clients. Regal Security® is a registered training facility and conducts all mandatory security guard training in compliance with PSISA regulations. Further specialized training is conducted either at Regal’s facility or through one of our several, authorized security training partners.

Regal Security’s® fundamental training prepares our security guards to become Everyday Superheroes™— guards armed with a unique set of skills to address a diverse range of interactions, from courteously answering questions to discreetly preventing a potential altercation.Regal Security in addition to the 40 hour Ministry lead testing also provides to its security personnel an additional tranche of training comprising our orientation program, this encapsulates reviews 24 hours of reviews in the following subjects.

> WORKPLACE VIOLENCE
> WHMIS
> INCIDENT REPORTING

> TRESSPASS TO PROPERTY ACT
> CUSTOMER SERVICE
> 16 HOURS ON JOB TRAINING

That is the first tranche of Orientation training. The second tranche comprises 16 hours of practical “field work” at sites where they can be observed by a supervisor.This provides  a two phased approach of review with for the guard and for the company, The guard can make the determination anywhere through the process that this may not be his or her work aspiration and the company based on its review of the canadidate can make the determination whether they want to continue through the employment process.

We are currently not accepting new registrations.

This program is normally the required first step toward becoming licensed as a security guard in Ontario. When available, the course consists of four mandatory days of core security training, with an optional fifth day for Standard First Aid and CPR for participants who do not already hold valid certification.
